WHAT ARE COLORADO INDEPENDENT BROKERS?
Independent brokers are real estate agents who have chosen to open their own real estate company. Some are managing brokers (can have employees) and some choose to work alone (Broker-Owner). These are offices with 10 people or less.
The Boulder County Independent Brokers are a group of real estate agents who work in and around Boulder County. We choose to meet a few times a month to communicate with each other, share ideas, challenges and successes. In an ever changing real estate market, this is extremely important.
We are a group of cutting edge real estate agents who strive to exceed customer expectations with up to the minute information. By running their own business you know you are getting their full attention, have someone who.
INDEPENDENT BROKERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR OWN ACTIONS!
Real Estate Agent vs. Realtor® distinction:
Each real estate agent has a choice to join a real estate BOARD which also means they are also joining the Colorado Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. By joining a board the real estate agent may now call themselves a REALTOR®. There is a code of ethics to which each Realtor® must adhere. Realtors® have to answer to a board of directors.
